We condemn the incident involving the burning of Türkiye’s national flag during the “torchlight procession” held on April 23 in Yerevan.
Such actions undermine the principle of mutual respect and risk further aggravating tension in regional environment.
Manifestation of ethnic hatred is incompatible with the values of peaceful coexistence and responsible public conduct.
We reiterate the importance of promoting dialogue, restraint, and mutual respect as essential elements for stability and constructive engagement in the region, based on the norms and principles of international law, as well as the advancement of peace, mutual respect, and trust in the region.
