TURKPA International Election Observation Mission observed the voting process in Astana

On 23 August 2026, on the day of the parliamentary elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Astana Group of the TURKPA International Election Observation Mission, led by Mr. Osman Mesten, Chairman of the TURKPA Commission on Legal Affairs and International Relations and Member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (GNAT), monitored the voting process in the city of Astana.

Mission members observed the opening of polling stations at 07:00 and visited polling stations throughout election day until the close of voting at 20:00. Mission members also observed the counting of votes at polling stations.

The TURKPA International Election Observation Mission conducted observation of the elections in the cities of Astana and Almaty in Kazakhstan.
