Working trip of Secretary General to Bishkek

On 11 March 2015, TURKPA Secretary General Jandos Asanov started his visit to the capital of Kyrgyzstan. On the first day of his visit, Mr Asanov held bilateral meetings with Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Altynbek Maksutov and Acting Chief of the Public Tele- and Radio Corporation of the Kyrgyzstan Mr. Ilim Karypbekov.
Secretary General discussed with Kyrgyz officials issues relating to the translation of mass media and TV, documentary materials and books in various fields of science and culture from other Turkic languages into Kyrgyz and vice versa. The parties agreed that qualified dubbing and other types of translation and their regular broadcasting would have a positive impact on the diversification of the content of the Kyrgyz speaking information space.
On the same day, Mr. Asanov had a working lunch with Mr. Beibit Isabayev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Bishkek.
