Deputy Secretary General

Kursad Melih SARIARSLAN Deputy Secretary General of TURKPA Representative of the Parliament of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Sariarslan was elected as a Deputy Secretary General of TURKPA on 29 September, 2009 in Baku at the meeting of the Council of Assembly. Mr. Sariarslan was born on 15 August, 1977. He graduated from the Marmara University, Istanbul Institute of Social Sciences, department of Communication with a PhD, Master`s Degree from University of Gazi, Ankara Social Sciences Institute and Bachelor from Moscow State (Lomonosov) University Faculty of Journalism. From 2000 he worked as an assistant at Eurasia Strategic Research Centre, then as a manager at a private company in Moscow and Istanbul. He also worked as a Head of Department at TURKSOY (Joint Administration of Turkic Culture and Arts) and before election as a Deputy Secretary General of TURKPA was working at the Parliament of the Republic of Turkey. Meanwhile working on these positions, he was also involved in translation services, PR management, HR management and international group secretariat duties. He also was a magazine editor and project coordinator. Mr. Sariarslan is fluent in Russian and English. He is married and has two child.
