Statement regarding the armed attack on the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran

The Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States strongly condemns the armed attack on the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran on 27 January 2023. As a result, the head of security service of the Embassy lost his life and two security personnel were injured. The TURKPA Secretariat calls for thorough investigation of this heinous attack and hopes that the perpetrators will be brought to justice. The Secretariat shares the grief of the brotherly people of Azerbaijan, expresses deep condolences to the family of the Embassy personnel who lost his life and wishes speedy recovery to the injured.
