Message of the Secretary General on the occasion of the New Year

On behalf of the International Secretariat of TURKPA, and in my personal capacity, I have the honour to convey my heartfelt congratulations to Turkic World and all nations on the occasion of the New Year 2026. The past year has reaffirmed the importance of our shared values, mutual support, and cooperative spirit. Guided by the strategic vision of our Heads of State and the historic decisions of the Organization of Turkic States, TURKPA has continued to advance its mission of strengthening inter-parliamentary dialogue, fostering legal coherence, and deepening parliamentary diplomacy across the Turkic world. We highly value the contributions and commitment of our member, observer, and partner parliaments. Our joint efforts, rooted in centuries of friendship, cultural affinity, and solidarity, have enabled us to create new opportunities for collaboration and to broaden the scope of our activities. As we move into 2026, TURKPA remains dedicated to promoting cooperation based on mutual respect and shared aspirations. With unity, determination, and a forward-looking approach, we will continue to strengthen the role of parliamentary diplomacy and uphold the common interests of our nations on the regional and global stage. I would like to extend my sincere wishes for peace, prosperity, and continued progress to all peoples. May the coming year bring renewed strength, harmony, and success to all our countries, and may TURKPA continue to further strengthen its role as a bridge of friendship and cooperation within the Turkic World.
