TURKPA Participates in the 4th International Mine Action Conference

On 2–3 September 2026, Acting Secretary of the TURKPA Commission on Education, Culture, Social and Humanitarian Affairs Mr. Mirlan Usenkanov participated in the 4th International Mine Action Conference, titled “Humanitarian Demining for Urban Recovery: Setting Standards of Excellence for Safe Settlements,” held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The conference brought together representatives of states, international organizations and specialized institutions to discuss humanitarian demining, international cooperation, the recovery of mine-affected territories, donor support, as well as the use of modern technologies and innovative approaches.

Particular attention was given to safe urban recovery, support for affected communities, social and economic reintegration, and the exchange of national experiences in mine action.

TURKPA’s participation contributed to the exchange of experience and the strengthening of international cooperation aimed at ensuring the safe and sustainable recovery of mine-affected territories.
