TURKPA attends the opening ceremony of the International Congress of Orthopedists and Traumatologists of Turkic States

On 4 September 2026, TURKPA Deputy Secretary General Mr. Talgat Aduov participated in the opening ceremony of the International Congress of Orthopedists and Traumatologists of Turkic States, jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Orthopedic Society and the Turkish Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The Congress brings together nearly 500 leading specialists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), USA, Germany, Russia, North Macedonia, Greece and Bulgaria.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Mr. Talgat Aduov conveyed the greetings of TURKPA Secretary General Ambassador Ramil Hasan to the organizers and participants, emphasizing the importance of the Congress in advancing scientific and professional cooperation among the Turkic states. He highlighted the value of sharing expertise, experience and modern medical practices, as well as strengthening professional ties, and underscored the relevance of healthcare cooperation to TURKPA’s agenda and the role of parliamentary diplomacy in fostering interaction among institutions, experts, academia and professional organizations across the Turkic world.

The congress continued with panel discussions.

The event aims to promote scientific and practical cooperation in the field of healthcare among the Turkic states, facilitate the exchange of experience and expertise in traumatology and orthopedics, discuss modern approaches to diagnosis and treatment, and encourage joint scientific initiatives.
